Report from US on Walking and Biking..
The report also highlights the fact that states with the lowest levels of biking and walking have, on average, the highest rates of obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure. In contrast states with the highest levels of biking and walking have, on average, the lowest rates of obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure. In addition, where rates of biking and walking are greater, more of the adult population is likely to achieve the 150 minutes of weekly moderate-intensity aerobic activity recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). According to CDC, physical activity can reduce your risk of dying early from the leading causes of death, like heart disease and some cancers.

Today,I walked 10km..
After walking for 10km today,I felt tired like I cycled 30km.I recommend this place for good family walk..By the way,I also cycle here.Map below taken from Nazley Facebook:
Almost airborne at Putrajaya Critical Mass
If you have looked at the sky above Putrajaya last night, you may have noticed me riding my Trek6000!
Joking aside,I really enjoyed my ride last night because I managed to cycle the whole route of PCM without any loss of breath and TNT(stop/push my bike).In fact,I was in the first third of the riding crowd.When it comes to climbing interchange,I will always took out for a 'chicken route', but not last night.I rode with ease because of the better gear mechanism in my new Trek6000 as compared to my old Trek3700.In fact,I managed to cycle like younger men and overtook a few slow ones.
May I thank my family members and friends who were always there to give me supports and companionship.To the Organiser of PCM,keep up the good work and special thanks to the marshals.

Finally,it arrives today..
I booked my new Trek 6000 a few weeks ago but it was out of stock then.A week later,I got a call that the bikeshop has a piece but size 17".I said no and I told the lady at the shop that I prefer to wait until I got what I wanted/ordered.This afternoon,I arrived at the shop at 12.15pm,paid the balance and took it home.Now,it is on display in my lounge.I plan to do a test ride, say 10km first thing tomorrow morning around my neighbourhood,BBB

My new Trek 6000
This photo was stolen from my friend Facebook.He went to the bikeshop that I ordered my bike and took this photo.I told the mechanic to change my tyres size to 2.3" and will get it by tomorrow(Thursday).To my riding buddies,here is my Trek 6000 15.5".See you all at PCM on 29th January night at Putrajaya and FRIM this Sunday.Now,it is time for me to change my old Trek3700 to slick tyres for my on-the-road rides.[for my youngest son Munir]
Walking at Putrajaya
I was inspired by my friend Nazley who has walked 138 150km this month January,2010!So, this Saturday,both of us plan to do a 10km walk in about 2 hrs.I propose to walk at Precinct 8 by the Putrajaya Lake for about 5km and then proceed to Precinct 14-a little bit hilly terrain for another 5km.This walk will be reported alive via Twitter and Twitpic.If you are interested to know what we are doing on that day,kindly check our Facebook/Twitter/Twitpic.

It has been quite some time since my last night ride with fellow cyclists at Putrajaya.May I invite all my cycling buddies to join me and the rest of the gang,weather permitting.To my friends who kept pestering me to change my bike,InsyaAllah I shall be riding a much better bike Trek 6000 this Friday night.It caused a huge hole in my pocket;-)
