My report card for 2009
The graph only tells the distance but the log records the speed and the time.What is not recorded was my fun and joy of cycling,meeting friends(old and new) and in some cases the fears of DH and the agony of pedalling uphills.Not to mention one incident when I fell ..
My thanks and gratitude to Allah swt and to all my friends for such a great and exciting year of cycling for me.Next year( in a few days time),my son Maher will join me cycling with his brand new Trek 3900.By the way,my new bike(Trek 6000) is out of stock for now...may be I will get it by end of January or early February,2010.

Magazine:Cycling Asia
I am currently reading Cycling Asia Magazine.In term of design,format and content,it is much better than Cycling Malaysia.I hope Cycling Malaysia will improve and also make sure there are enough copies around.I tried a few big bookshops,but they told me,"Sudah habis--no stock lah!".By the way, my nickname on Twitter is basikal.

Yes!I clocked 90% today!
Alhamdulilah,I got 90% of my 2009 annual cycling target today.

Now, the time has arrived to reward my cycling efforts(about 200 hrs in two yrs) and patience.Btw, I have made full use of my Trek 3700 for the last two years.InsyaAllah,next month January 2010,I also shall have a new bike Trek 6000.From the previews I read,it can take all the terrains like those at FRIM and Broga.Below is the photo shot:

"Abah,let's go to the bikeshop.."
After enjoying the challenging technical rides at Bukit Cabaran,my son Maher came to me and said,"Abah,let's go to the bikeshop!".Well,my son,all shops were closed yesterday.It was Christmas when Saifuddin took my son maher and my friend Gazali for a ride along a few loops at the complex.
So,today I took my son to Joo Ngan(Jalan Ampang) and Maher ordered Trek 3900[with hydraulic brake and disk brake].Like father,like son.I hope he will get it by the first week of next month.My current bike is the old Trek 3700.I hope to upgrade to Trek 6000 soon,as soon Maher gets his new MTB.

Three more rides for 2009
Owing to my business commitment and physical condition,I have only three more MTB before the year 2009 ends.InsyaAllah,I will achieve 1800km soon.i.e 90% of my 2009km target.Here is my plan for another 35km more:
23/12-MTB around BBB
25/12-Bukit Cabaran,Putrajaya
31/12-Putrajaya Horse Trail or Wetland Ride.

Family ride
Today,when my wife and me went for our morning walk at Taman Botani,Putrajaya.We came across a family of one son and three daughters cycling.My wife was inspired by their family outing together and asked me whether she also could ride a bike.Of course,"You can!",I replied.By the way,my wife belongs to the old school of the 50's where ladies were discouraged to ride bicycles.On arriving home, I conspired with my son on how to teach my wife how to ride and get her to cycle with us.
On the way back,I met MKA and his riding buddy.
NB: Maher clocked 40km today on my Trek3700,max speed: 48km/hr at Sg Merab.
