A few years ago,I got interested to try taichi, but somehow it did not take off.Instead,I joined the band of roaring 30's and 40's in cycling at Putrajaya and FRIM.You can read all of them at my cycling blog.Yesterday,I accepted my friend's invitation to join Waitankung. It was our first time.Honestly,I never heard or read such word before in my life, but it is there since thousand years ago.You can read about it here.
Kung is quite a familiar word to me-like my favourite dish at Cozy House restaurant,Yee mee Kung Fu! When I asked the sifu,he told me 'kung' means continuously doing. That sounds like istiqamah-the discipline to achieve success by keep doing something good over a period of time.Another thing of interest to me is this slow and soft exercise is suitable for middle age persons and those going to be warga emas like me.
First lesson was a breathing exercise and to active 'chi' in my body.I donot know what 'chi' is but I am prepared to active it and explore it in due course. Before we ran off to cycle at 8:30am, we were thought how to walk like kungfu! That was fun.If my kids were around, they would be LOLRTF{laughing out loud, rolling on the floor}.
Have a good weekend to all:-)
