Paris Je t'amie
Today,my wife and me are going to watch the movie Paris Je t'amie.I heard that this movie is a like an anthology of short stories.The reason why we are going there is because by watching the movie, it will remind us the places we visited Paris more than 10 years ago. By the way, I am a romantic fool who still talked to my wife about the good memories we had together with our kids when we went to Paris to celebrate our 20the wedding anniversary in 1997.
From that visit, I started reading books related to France in general and Paris in particular.Among the books I read are The Traveller's Guide to Paris,Almost French and Chocolat.Another two books yet to be read are The Last Time I was in Paris and The Coastliners.
The last time I was in Paris was in 2003.I plan to go again this year,insyaAllah.

This photo was taken using my Treo680 on 14 Ramadhan 1428.I love to see the moon between the minaret and the main entrance.If only I have my DSLR with me.
Three years ago I brought son to visit the second holiest place for us muslims-Masjid Nabawi in Madinah al-Munawarah.As we entered the masjid(mosque), my son told me:"Dad,I want to come again to this masjid!".I was pleasantly suprised by his statement because it was his first day of his first visit.Alhamdulilah.May Allah grant you my son with many more visits...
This photo reminds me of the time my son and me in the 'roudah'.InsyaAllah,I plan to take all my sons and my wife to visit Masjidil Haraam and Masjid Nabawi.

Bigger Thumb drive
This 8GB San Disk Cruzor Micro is the biggest capacity thumb drive I had ever seen when I was at Sim Lim Square,Singapore last Saturday.My first thumb drive began with 256 MB.After that ,I found it is not enough when I started saving my lecture notes(ppt files),so I bought 1GB.Later, when I added up some photos,I have to buy a 2GB.Lately,I am using a 4GB as my back-up.I think that should be enough!
The temptation to buy this 8GB was so great that I have to give in and it cost me S$75! As they say,the only way to fight temptation is to succumb to it;-). To justify the purchase other than being "kiasu",I told myself that I can also store some music and some audio files-for business as well as for pleasure;-)
My 2GB thumb drive is attached to my car keys.I keep a few important files just in case I forget the other two. The 4GB is now being re-designated for my Asus EeePC as "attached hard drive".The lastest new kid on the block (8GB) is to store my business documents-a companion to my pc laptop and my iBook.
Just by sheer coincidence, my SD card for my Treo680 got corrupted.So, I committed another 'sin' by buying a 2GB memory card +USB Micro SD Reader for easy file transfer.What else can I say to reconcile my conscience spending S$100 for portable storage...

Old Psion Netbook & New EeePC
Old pc's are not like old soldiers-they don't fade away but they died when new technology/softwares overtaken them.Similarly,my Psion Netbook is gathering dust in one of my drawers.Before I forget about it or sell it, one thing I really like about it are the keyboard and its robustness.
EeePC is what Psion Netbook should be if it has developed to what it should be.Apple Newton died but now,we have iPod and iPhone!
Today is my second day of using EeePC.So far so good.More about it later..
