The photo shows advertisement for mobile phone. The mobile phone(aka as handphone) is now a commodity.Almost everyone in Malaysia can afford one and the the penetration rate is more than 80%. My 73-year old mother also has a mobile phone. It is not for her to contact others but more for her children and grand children to contact and text her-especially those who are away from our home town and a few from overseas.
This reminds me of my boss who bought one in late 80's. It cost me about 10k but now anyone can buy for a few hundreds ringgit. The telcos are raking millions of profit annually.
My wife prefers the mobile phones because she can contact her children any time when they are away from home.
