Every year, without fail,this particular kiosk selling popia(spring rolls) attracts the biggest crowd.You can see the que here -at least 20 people are standing waiting for their turn.

By the way,I don't have the patience to wait for 30 minutes for a popia.

Blogging via moleskine notebook

Writing my blog in a moleskine

I was away for the last ten days and could not access Internet via my computer. To keep blogging,I used my moleskine notebook to record my journey and my thoughts on a daily basis.

I tried to use my smart phone to upload while I was away but could not get through..It works.So, the old fashion way always works  without any batteries and telcos connections wherever I am..

I may  be hitech with all my gadgets like Treo,GPS device and iPod but I never leave home without a notebook and a pen.

Mobile phone going red;-)

The photo shows advertisement for mobile phone.The mobile phone(aka as handphone) is now a commodity.Almost everyone in Malaysia can afford one and the the penetration rate is more than 80%. My 73-year old mother also has a mobile phone.It is not for her to contact others but more for her children and grand children to contact and text her-especially those who are away from our home town  and a few from overseas.

This reminds me of my boss who bought one in late 80's. It cost me about 10k but now anyone can buy for a few hundreds ringgit.The telcos are raking millions of profit annually.

My wife prefers the mobile phones because she can contact her children any time when they are away from home.

Great salmon steak

I think this is the best salmon steak I had for this year-beautifully served and taste marvelous.Sadly,it is very difficult to get one in Kuala Lumpur.This 'work of art' by the chef was at Johor Bahru.

Lost connection to Celcom

I can't blog via my pc ceelcom broadband.So I am trying my digi with my Treo.For the last 35 minutes we are pssing through jungle and oil palm estates.Travel speed is about 50km/hr.

KL-JB

Train was delayed by 10 minutes.My coach is about half full. The weather is cloudy but we have sun shine this morning.Just passed Serdang Station.

At KL Sentral

My son Maher took us to KL Sentral.We left early to avoid the rush hour and to give us more time for breakfast.

Train is my choice of travel

Given the choice between bus and train,I prefer train for safety and no traffic jam. This weekend, my wife and me are going to JB to assist our son to locate a house to rent.

Travel by train takes longer time, but I am going to make the best of  6 hours of travel either way.I will spend more time reading and writing my journal as we travel along the railway lines.

I will try my best to upload a posting every hour while I am on the road- I mean on the train.
