A few days ago I visited a friend,a Ph D from Nottingham University who is a consultant to a big engineering and construction company in KL. During our discussion on some structural engineering topics, he showed me a book that he is currently reading,It is about design guidelines for buildings subjected to seismic forces(like earthquakes). Well,this is beyond me but what shocked me more is the price of the book.It is RM 899.80(approx USD 257)!
