I am very glad that The Star today took notes of what a few senior bloggers are writing.Among those mentioned, I personally know Pak Idrus and Pok Ku .You can read the article here.

If not for their blogging,I would not have met their acquintances and now we become friends.When we are free, we do meet for teh tarik sessions.

Personally, I make it a point to know more older persons so that I can learn from their wisdom and at the same time they do share their mistakes so that I would try to avoid.

VOX

Vox is another blogging platform created by the Six Apart ,the owner of the typepad.com. It was launched on 26th Oct.,2006 and it is free. Personally,I have created one account there to give it a try.So far I like it and it is easy to set up and post text,book,photos,video etc. If you plan to start a new blog or unhappy with what you are using now,I suggest you give it a try. You can take a peek at what I did there for my hobbies.Here is the link.

Two features that I like are the direct link to my flickr.com for photos and  to amazon.com for books to be inserted while I am doing my posting.

Balik kampung moblog

As a paid user of typepad blogging software, I was given three websites- one is this one which I named as The Reader(my main blog),the second one is called Simply Project, which is dedicated to project management and the third one is I called Daily Snapshots. Daily Snapshots is mainly a moblog - where I use my mobile phone(as shown)  to snap photo while I am on the go and upload to the website wirelessly without using my personal computer.Snapshots are just photos with a line of a few words.

Today, I am going back to my kampung for two days.I hope to take and upload a photo every hour to Daily Snapshots. You are welcome to take a peek at the moblog here.

While doing some house-keeping for my typepad blog,I discovered that I have posted 1001 posting over a span of three years.

Last weekend I did a review of the traffic to my blog and was pleasantly suprised that the number of visitors/readers has increased by about 100% since March last year. May I take this opportunity to thank YOU,the loyal readers who keep coming back to read my humble blog and also may I welcome the new visitors/readers.

This typepad package I am using allows me to have three blogs.The main blog is this one where I updated a few times in a week,the second one  I used to blog about project management.It is called Simply Project.It has not been updated for almost two years but lately I decided to revive it.I plan to update it may be once a week. The third one is more for my personal story.It is called My Story.Now,it is in its third year-only being updated once a year.My apologies....

Anyway,please keep coming to my blog;and insyaAllah,I will try my best to keep writing.

The Reader is two years old

I just realised that my blog is two years old today.Todate,I have written 659 postings-an average of 27 postings per month.But most important of all is I wish to thank everyone of you are kind enough to read my humble postings and took time to write your comments.

SPAMMED!

Someone out there has decided to turn my blog into a porno website.Two weeks ago, my tag-board was spammed and yesterday and today my comments section was flooded with 'comments' invitations to porno websites.

So ladies and gentlemen, I have no choice but to moderate all comments sent to my postings. Just bear with me a few hours before your comments get published.

Bloglines

A few days ago, my friend asked me how do I read others' blogs? Well,I told him that I have to go and click on the hypertext at my blog.Sometimes,the effort was wasted because the blog has not yet being updated.So, he advised me to use Bloglines.

Yes, I agreed with him that using bloglines make my blog reading more organised and much easier way than what I have been doing before.

Lesson learned:

Technology is readily available,but people are not aware of it or they refuse to learn new things because they were more confortable in what they have been doing.
