Last weekend,my 14-year old son took me to the movies. It has been quite a while I have not watched a good movie,so I agreed. We had a good laugh and enjoyed the fun..
On the way out, my son asked me whether pirates still exist?
I replied: There are a few pirates left on the high seas but there are a lot more on the mainland.
My son asked:But I have not read any newspapers on pirates raiding buses, cars or trains?
I replied:My dear son! Pirates these days donot wear dresses like what you have seen in the movies. Now, they wear coats and ties and drive big cars around cities and some fly their private jets. Some are corporate raiders, some are commodities and stocks/shares manipulators and some are currency speculators. They are not armed with swords, daggers and guns but they have made millions or billions...
My son asked:How do they make millions or billions of ringgit?
I replied:Well my son, I should not be telling you how to be a modern day pirate, but first make sure you pass your PMR exams with a few A's and we will talk about it ...
To avoid more questions, I changed the subject to where should we go for lunch?
I think there are a few lessons that we can learn from that movie.Your comments, please.
