May I congratulate Mr Tan Twan Eng-a Malaysian who won this literary award. It is an event that all Malaysians should be proud of.I have not read the book yet,but I plan to buy and read it.Fictional history is a new genre for me but I look forward to discover something more interesting and may discover more on what really happened in those days.History books at schools only tell the approved version of our history.
I hope our Malaysian government will recognise this success in some way and promote and facilitate good Malaysian writers at international level.
A'kum Sdr Adib,
May I join you in congratulating Mr Tan for his achievement. Another feather in Malaysia's cap. Any idea why did he choose South Africa to migrate to?

Wassalam Sdr Idris,
I have been to South Africa once and it is a nice place to live..temperature is like Sydney.Sometimes, our business or nature of work took us to many far away places. When one stays too long in a place, one begins to like it and decided to stay put.
