Yesterday,I entered a Nike Shop and asked the shop assistant how to fix the walking sensor to my shoes when I am not wearing a Nike shoes with slot for sensor. He looked at me trying to understand what a white haired gentleman really wanted and then told me to wait a while because he is going to fetch me a shoes wallet.I got a shock because in my enitre six decades of my life, only men carry wallet and not shoes!
Here are two photos showing how the wallet got attached to my walking shoes and sandals.
When I was using the Nike+ Sportband, I just placed the sensor between the top part of my foot and the sock, just below the tongue of the shoe and made sure to tie the shoelace a little tighter. That worked for me. I'd googled and found out about shoe wallets and went to a few shops here to ask for them but no one heard of this product. That was last year. Now I'm using the Omron pedometer HJ-113 which doesn't require a sensor or sportband. And it counts both regular and aerobic steps.
