This is the 8th Putrajaya Inter Park Ride(PIPR) where I was one of those 1100 riders who cycled up the hills at Taman Botani to see nice flowers and great landscapes and later shot downhill to Wetland to see the man-made wetland rich in flora and fauna. From the hot and wet trails bordering the wetlands,we cycled uphill a few kilometres before we arrived at the foot of Bukit Taman Saujana Hijau- A Salem High Country!.Along the uphill climbing. I saw a few 'casualities'-no one got hurt but just could not peddle up and ended themselves behind a few trucks and vans together with their bikes.I had to stop and did my TNT off and on but I refused to go up the 'pick up' trucks. From the Saujana Hijau,I cycled and enjoyed my ride all the way to Taman Botani.
About a year ago,our first PIPR was attended by about 20 riders. As a committee member of the organising committee of PIPR,I am very happy today to be asociated with the good people in the committee led by Encik Mohd Niza.Today,I smiled ear to ear to see the successful event as commented by the President of Perbadanan Putrajaya Tan Sri Samsuddin.Owing to the over whelming support,Tan Sri Samsuddin said this event may be held every month. To see more than 1000 riders cycling around the wetland made my DAY today-not to mention I did 30km today!
Lesson No 1: Start small, but think big.
