Two days ago, after his solat magrib,my friend Y (58 years old)had a stroke and passed away.May Allah swt accepts him among the solihin. My Al-Fatihah and Yaasiin for you my dear friend.Y and me worked as managers in the same group of companies in mid-80's and later we went our separate ways-he went into corporate world and later opted out and chose to live in Dungun,Terengganu as a gentleman farmer.
With a few millions in his account, he bought a few hundreds acres of land in Citrus Valley and planted sweet orange trees. He made a few hundreds thousands profit a year selling oranges to supermarkets in the Klang Valley. When I asked what he did with so much profit(we don't need that much to live in Dungun),he said half went for 'sabilillah' and the other half for him and his family.May Allah bless you my friend.
Another reason why he left a nice house in Taman TAR and had chosen to live in Dungun was to live close to his Sufi teachers.By the way,he also loved fishing in the open seas.Whenever he was in KL for his business and visiting his children,he always called me up for a chat at MaxValu,Ampang and he kept telling me to get a teacher for my zikrrulah.Alhamdulillah,I have found one.Thank you my friend for your advice and your helps in my personal and business life.
Illal liqaq in the
Akhirat,InsyaAllah.
Thank you for sharing this experience Abedib. It always inspires me to hear such good deeds.
Al-Fatihah to aruah & condolence to his family. May Allah continue to shower you with His rohmah.

I was informed by his neighbour Dib: He was resting after mowing the lawn, and when his cell phone went unanswered, the maid came to check and realised the YM was already cold. When he was found dead it was exactly at Maghrib.
I miss him as well as you do and we need to exchange some notes one day. Insha Allah.
