As they say, the writings are on the wall, but if we fail to read and ponder on them, we will suffer the consequences of that actions/decision.If we observe that some parts of the buildings are crackings and the a few slopes have collapsed, then the unfortunate victims will have to suffer due to our failures to act accordingly and promptly.Lives and properties became the victims as what had happened recently at Bukit Antarabangsa.
Similarly if we fail to read the signs of Allah as in the following ayats:
[2:164] Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the Night and the Day; in the sailing of the ships through the Ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds and the clouds which they trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth, (here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise.[2:165] Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): they love them as they should love Allah, but those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the Punishment: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the Punishment.
Owing to our arrogance and ignorance,we will similarly become the victims of our own follies in the Hereafter:
[7:146] Those who behave arrogantly on the earth in defiance of right, them will I turn away from My Signs: even if they see all the Signs, they will not believe in them; and if they see the way of right conduct, they will not adopt it as the Way; but if they see the way of error, that is the Way they will adopt. For they have rejected Our Signs, and failed to take warning from them.
[7:147] Those who reject Our Signs and the Meeting in the Hereafter, vain are their deeds: can they expect to be rewarded except as they have wrought?
We can disobey the commands of Allah swt but we can't run away from the Wills of Allah swt.
Salam Pak Adib. I think it can be applied to almost if not all items in our every day life. And, to recover from the mistakes would take a long time. That is why the saying goes, " prevention is better than cure ! "
