Pak Idrus's Grammaphone

A few days ago,I went Pak Idrus's house for Eidil Fitri visit and to see his Peti Nyanyi-the one you see on the right. The last time I heard the music from such a machine was when I was in primary school-back in the 60's.
Many I have seen before were those that people put for display-not working ones. But this one works fine and listening to it again after more than four decades was fantastic-one kind of a sound!.By the way, there is no volume control-as told to me by Pak Idrus. When I told Pok Ku of my visit,he told me that the sound from this Peti Nyanyi has no bass and the speed is either 78 or 33.3RPM.
Thank you very to Pak Idrus for his time to show me his precious antique grammaphone and his other collections. And also my thanks to his wife for a delicious mee goreng.
Note on the video: I used my Lumix TZ2 to capture the video.I thought it was not working after some time,so I moved the camera around to check it.That was why you saw the disturbance towards the end of the video clip.
Wow, Pak Adib. You are very fortunate to have an opportunity to see and listen to it :) ..the sound must have been one of a kind. Truth to be told, I am missing the sound of vinyl. I think the sounds from these players are more 'raw' :)
