Let me share with fellow readers of what happened to me yesterday. My car was flagged down for speeding on the 3-lanes dual carriageway a few kilometres before I reach Putrajaya.Almost all the cars at the time were stopped and given traffic summons.I was doing about 90km/hr and I was told by the police officer that the speed limit on this highway is only 70km/hr.In my opinion, only those who go for sight-seeing travel at less than 70km/hr.
If you travel across the country, you are bound to see some ridiculously low speed limit imposed on certain stretches of our roads. With the improvement of the roads over the years, the authorities should review the speed limits.Otherwise, everyone will break the law.
I know I broke the law,so I have to pay for it.But to my friends in JKR/Bandaraya,do take some time to review those road speed limits. Some, you may discover that the roads speed limits were gazetted more than 30 years ago or even before Merdeka(Independence Day).
Hi..
Teringat dulu waktu blaja kt jpn masa 1st year. Speeding kt sana kira jenayah..so kena panggil to police station.. dorang tanya reason speeding sampai 90km...i ckplah kat mesia biasa je.. plus jln kt hokkaido tu 2-3 jam straight je...dorang terkejutlah mesia 90km tu biasa.biasa dorang 60km... pastu wat lah muka kesian.. dpt 50%discount..hehe

Sdr Adib
I hear these roads in Putrajaya may be reviewed to 8okm/h. Personally, I think 9okm/h is more like it. That's what I do everyday in Putrajaya. Luckily, so far belum kena saman.

Aku pun baru bayar saman RM300, saman ekor kat Sabak Bernam. Tak tahu pun berapa speed aku dan kat kawasan mana. Main bayar aje.
