How time flies! By the way, I am not talking about any birds. The 'bird' I am referring to is an electronic one-it has no body and no sounds.A virtual one that originates from the fingers of the senders to the eyes of the beholders.
It is almost one year since I wrote about Twitter on 30th April,2007.As early adopter of technology,I just embrace it and use it.If it is good,I shall continue and if it is no good,I just leave it.To-date,I am using it everyday to get info from my on-line friends and sideline moblogging at this blog.
Lately, there are a few applications being developed to make the use of Twitter easier.I have tried twhirl, tweetr, twibble, twitteroo, twitbin and treotwit. For Treo smart phone users like me,it is very convenient to use Treotwit on the go,but to receive messages I have to log in to m.twitter.com.I use twibble twhirl when I am in front of my pc(twitbin when I am with my iBook) By the way, you can get tweets delivered to your mobile phone but you may have to pay for the telco charges. My friend is using Celcom 013 and he managed to get it but not me because I am using 019 and Digi 016.
Another good feature of twitter is using twitterfeed to inform our friends("followers") whenever we post something at our blogs.Oh,I forget two more applications:
1.We can send message to a group of friends( twittergroup)
2.We can use twitterscan to look for keywords.
IMHO,technology is neutral-like the jungle out there. It is how one uses it -either to waste his time,to make a fool of himself,to have some fun or to make some money.Or Whatever.
In case you wish to become a "bird" like me, just register at Twitter.com and my id is berisman.
ahh pigeons.. reminded me of late trafalgar square.. as a matter of fact. now.. sadly... they hire hawks and eagles to kill the pigeons..or at least scare them in trafalgar square.. :(
