Visionary
leaders of commerce and industries knows that for their corporate
vision to be realized and their mission accomplished, it needs a
comprehensive system to support all its corporate initiatives. For the
system to be effective, it needs to be able to gauge performance in
progress so that appropriate actions can be taken as and when needed.
This means a need for Key Performance Indicators to be designed to
motivate the team to their respective goals and be held accountable for
their results.
Our PMI-MY President En Megat Zainuri will
discus how Project Management can be used very effectively by leaders
to sustain its organizational performance. The methodologies available
allow clear definition of project goals and its objectives specified in
business terms. The Project charter for example gives direction to the
multi disciplinary team to perform with a common purpose.
Responsibility Assignment Matrix specify who does what and reports to
whom. Other Project Management tools and techniques facilitate
identification of the project deliverables, assumptions made, risk
implications, WBS and methods of budgeting helps the team to work as a
team. When implemented, the team then is better enabled to perform and
ultimately more purposeful in their endeavour
