One of my personal projects is to inculcate the reading culture for all my children. Some of my friends confided in me that it is difficult to get their kids to read books.I know it is not easy, but we must keep trying by showing good examples. If we ourselves donot read books, how do we expect our kids to read books? Similarly with the reading of the Qur'an.
Personally, I must buy at least a book a month, either for myself or my family members. It is good to buy books to give away as gifts to our friends.
Let me quote Desiderius Eramus:
When I get a little money,I buy books. If there is any left over,I buy food and clothes.
Happy reading to all...and let's make July as the Reading Month for Malaysia a success.
Desiderius Eramus must have plenty left over, otherwise he wont be writing that; too funny to see a skinny, under-nourished bookworm reading books naked :-)
