This picture was taken about a week ago by the Lake Windermere when I was roaming in the Lake District with my friend from Lancaster University .Many people would not have noticed it because they walked too fast. It was a blessing in disguise that I had to walk slowly due to my leg problems;otherwise I also would not have noticed this hidden beauty just laying around by the road side..
Taking advice from my friend Kura-Kura( his blogger's nickname), I would walk a little bit more slowly...then only I would be able to see more ...
During the Internet dotcom boom, slow was not an option.Everyone was on fast track and suddenly the boom went bust:-(
A year ago I read a book entitled The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho and he suggested an exercise to walk half the speed we normally walk.To my pleasant suprise,I actually saw many things that I missed due to my haste.I learnt that there is wisdom in doing things slow...certain activities need their own pace..
By the way, I am not suggesting that everthing we do we must do slowly. It all depends on the phase of the project or activity. But one thing I am quite sure is that we tend to make more mistakes if we are in a haste..
Looking at the beautiful flower, only God Almighty can make it;all we could do is say something about it.
Such a beauty.
Uncle Adib, it's Yazmeen here. All the best and take care.

Welcome back, sir. "How Do You Eat an Elephant's" posting bemused me. I've provided a brief reply as such. I'm looking forward to your counter-thoughts on the subject matter.

"I learnt that there is wisdom in doing things slow" ... Yup. Sometimes we tend to ignore things around us when we tried to go faster. Speed is great but not to forget speed can hurt us as we tend to ignore or overlook certain thing around us!Nice flower!

A'kum Uncle Adeeb!
Came here via Idlan's.. Hope you'll get well soon!
And I believe the phrase "Biar Lambat Asal Selamat" still holds it value in this fast changing world!!

I wrote this poem in August,2001:(The theme is taken from a song by Alleycats):-
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Dibulan Febuari.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Mekar kembang dinahari.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Sesyahdu embun pagi.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Bermandian cahaya mentari.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Menari-nari ditasik hati.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Memanas salur nadi.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Mercutanda Budi.
Sekuntum Mawar Merah,
Sebuah puisi,
Tercari-cari Erti.
