Yesterday I bought this sling bag at Camel Active shop to keep my phone, notebook, pen, coloured pencils and a small bottle of mineral water when I am on the go-social and sports activities. It costs RM72 and it keeps my loose things in one place, even at home.
I plan to use it also when I am riding my Dahon folding bike.
During the last Putrajaya Inter-Parks Ride on 28th Nov.,2010,I was very happy to play a small role as a committee member of the ride to see about 300 riders took part in the event. It is not about the numbers but more about the people from all races and all walks of life came together to enjoy riding their bikes together.Cycling is one of the common denominator that crosses the economic, social and racial barriers where people can be together and enjoy a healthy life-style!
One particular group that really impressed me is @tokmtb group. All of them ,from grandfathers to infants were dressed in the red uniform and took part as a big family team.Congratulations to everyone of them and to the organiser!
The next ride is on 31/12/2010-The New Year Night Ride.See you all there.
Today,I am a happy host when my two friends who came to join me riding their mTB here for the first time.It reminded me of my first ride when I had to change MTB to enable me to cycle up the hill. However,my friends were much better than me.They could climb the hill in a breeze-not TNT(turun n tolak). It took me a year to build up my skill and stamina to climb this hill in 15 minutes with NO TNT.
We rode for 17km in more than 2 hours.Later at about 11am, we stopped for 'refill' at FRIM Cafe.During the discussion,my friends told me they enjoyed the ride and we agreed to ride here every month~last Sunday of each month.
For almost a month during this Ramadhan,I took a holiday on my brisk walking/running and cycling.Even though I did not do much exercises, but I was watching my eating and diets.I am happy to note that I did have extra weight to shed away.At one time ,I was worried that my weight went down to 72kg but it moved back to 74kg as normal.
When it comes food,I prefer REAL food to those manufactured nutrients/supplements.My two years experience proved that I was right. To lose weight,I just eat less and keep doing my regular exercises that I enjoyed doing with my family members and friends. My target is 70kg but I am not pushing.Let it takes its time.I am quite happy with my BMI of 27.At my age of 58 years old,I think it is good enough.
InsyaAllah,I will re-start my exercise by my morning walk on Saturday 11th September,2010.On 12 and 13 September,I will be taking my son to my kampong to visit my mother and we plan to do walking/running on the beach .
