A new milestone was reached yesterday when more than 3,000 people set a record for participating in the largest inter-park cycling event in Malaysia.
The Putrajaya Inter-Parks Ride, which was part of the Wow! Putrajaya Carnival 2012, cycled its way into The Malaysia Book of Records yesterday after the participants finished the 34km ride through five parks in the federal administrative capital yesterday.
Federal Territories and Urban Well-being Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal, who flagged off the event, said that it was a good initiative to promote healthy living and raise awareness of environmental issues.
