Below is my sketch of a wakaf(gazebo) at the car park inside the compound of Masjid Telipot.Nowadays,even some houses have their own wakaf. In the old days in Malaya,wakaf was a place for travellers to take rest and move on.At my village,we also have wakafs scattered on vast padi fields for farmers to take a rest,do their solat etc.
I observed a lot of new wakaf design in Putrajaya.It would be better if our local authorities turn pockets of empty spaces in their cities and towns into small garden with a wakaf-a new feature in greening Malaysian urban landscape.
