A young 12 yr old girl, Kamilia is in need of your help please. She's in the UH Paediatric cancer ward with critical luekemia. She needs A+ blood type donors, preferably men under 50 to harvest white blood cells from.
This is the message from Kamilia's mum:
"Salam to all. My name is Rina. My daughter, Kamilia has AML leukemia. A week ago she developed complications due to pneumonia. Her body is unable to fight the infection as she has no white cells. Doctors have given the maximum dosage of antibiotics but it has yet to show results.
We are trying something fairly new now. What we need are white cells from donors. Procedure is that there will be a briefing by the specialist for the potential donor before we can proceed with the blood donation.
Should you be keen, some of your time will definitely need to be invested as its not as straight forward as a normal blood drive.
Why we prefer male is because their veins are bigger and the machine is highly sensitive. O+ is acceptable too. If that's ok with you, then do call me at 012 9196 955.
Thank you.."
So does anyone fit the bill? If you or anyone you know are willing to assist, please call Rina.
FYI, I got this message from my niece, Aishah, Rina's friend.
Appreciate if you can forward this message to others.
Thanks.
May the Almighty bless all your good deeds.
Regards,
Zai / Aunty Zai
