Yesterday,four old friends met at my house for mee bandung Muar which I ordered from Restoran Asam Pedas,Seksyen 8,Bangi.This get together was to welcome my friend Pak Zainal Sikum who just returned home from London a day before.
Two of us wore kopiah,one wore a cap and me 'topless'.All my three friends are in their 60's and me going the BMW 6 series in a few months time.Looking at each other white hairs and aging faces,one of us started asking how old each one of us and realised that there are not many years left for us in this world.
Looking back in our 20's,30's,40's we had too much BMW-"Banyak Membazir Waktu" as far as ibadah was concerned.It is very important we must realise this;if not we shall continue with our BMW series into BMW 7 series and ended with nothing for the Next World!
First,let me thank Allah for extending my life to 59 years old.I realised that if I were to die earlier,I have nothing to carry forward to the next world.Blessed to live to this age,I become a bit wiser and now using the Pareto Principle:To do 80% ibadah in the last 20% of my time left...
May Allah guide you and me my fellow Muslim peers to do more ibadah in the last few more years of our lives.Let us sell our BMW and make full use of whatever time Allah has allocated for us..
