To my peers in their 50's and above,we must listen more to bodies now.I have listened more to others in the last three decades and it is timely I must give more time to listen to my body as well as my soul..
As we age,our bodies are getting weaker everyday and it has suffered wear and tear from our use or misuse during the last few decades. Many of my friends are suffering one or two chronic diseases and regular vistors to clinics and hospitals.
Our bodies talk in many differerent ways/modes to us.Some we may know or undertstand and many we still refuse to listen.I have decided to listen more now to my bodies so that I can stay fit and healthy and enjoy the rest of days...
Today,I feel like joining my friends for a brisk walk at our park next to our neighbourhood. However, my body says no after a 20km of cycling last Sunday and a 5km walk yesterday. At my age,I need more rest than when I was younger 20 years ago.
At times, illness just comes to us without early warning signs. What I am afraid is that the signs did come but we were not able to read them or we just ignore them due to our lack of knowledge or arrogance. That was how a few of my friends got caught with heart attacks and stroke.Yesterday, my son told me his friend got a mild hard attack at the age of 30! God forbids..
During my younger days in the 80's,I heard and read only older people got sick. But now, unfortunately, even younger persons in their 20'a and 30's have heart attacks, hypertensions etc. So,let us listen and take care of our bodies..

"On that day you shall be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden."
