Last weekend I was fascinated by the birds...
It will not be complete to talk about the birds without the bees;-)
About two decades ago,my mentor told me to have breakfast with honey,i.e two roasted pieces of bread and some honey (I add some butter because I want to make my toasts taste better). So far, I have been following his advice and thank God(Alhamdulilah), it is good for my health.
Let me share with you(if you have not read it) one interesting article about the bees. Here is the link.(more info in surah Namlu in the Qur'an) .One of the features mentioned in the article is about HEXAGON- a six sided mathematical shape. To understand the ingenuity and the beauty of Allah's creations,we need some knowledge of geometry and calculus.Subhanallah!(the outcome of zikrun and tafakarun).
Note on the photo: The name of the shopkeeper is Bilal.I used to buy a few bottles of Arabic honey from him during my recent trip to Makkah.

Ahh, my research during matriculation time :) Hexagon is the best shape for weight bearing container for the shape distributes the force of whatever contained in it (whatever that means, I can only understand a part of it. You're the engineer ;)), and as honeycomb, it is space efficient :)

Akmal,
let me show you a simple example of six pieces of plywood to construct a store. You can arrange them to form a rectangular store or a hexagon store. The hexagon contains more valume for the same amount of walls(plywood) used. There is a brach of maths called linear programming as optimisation technique.Water droplets are spherical for the same reasons.

You see, I love math, so I go Wiki on Linear Programing. The first few things from the general idea, equation and constraints I can understand, save for the many things coming after. Directed to KKT theorem, I was like...man! Gonna need a teacher and a semester for this! :(
