Hanim,
You are not alone.I too have a few books that I read but never get to the last page.I know most books are expensive-usually I bought only one a month except this month.IMHO,in general,it is better to read one book at any one time.

Hmm.. my current books are Use your head by Buzan (loan from Sir Adib and hands on classs by Abezi tomorrow), Man and Boy by Tony Parson (had gone 9 chapters), Tasauf Moden (chapter 4). Agree with Abedib to read one book at a time. I would love to go to MPH this week since they have a new sets of 100 books with 30% discount. Very good bargain.

I read no books lately. The common excuse is, no time but that's bull. I'd be better off start again. Reading what you wrote, it aspires me to go to the nearest bookstore and grab one.

GAB,
I am glad to know that you are inspired by what I wrote.I tried many ways to motivate people to read;a few succeeded but many time I failed but I won't give up.Why?Because reading will inculcate the cuture of knowledge(budaya ilmu).Another important aspect is the selection of material to read.

Assalamualaikum En. Adib,
I came across your site a couple of weeks ago and I really like what you write here that I've even subscribed :) I like the parts where you share your religious knowledge as I don't attend any religious classes after I left school.
Anyway, I read a lot of kids' stuffs e.g. Harry Potter, Diana Wynne Jones novels, and latest is Jenny Nimo's The Snow Spider trilogy. Perhaps bcoz I find they are innocent and fictitious. With all the hurts and confusion in this world, I am always glad to escape into a fantasy world once in a while.

Pak Adib,

Fara,
I also read Harun Yahya's book;in fact I have a few in Malay and in English.A few of the things HY wrote can be highly philosphical. In the event you get confused, ask the more learned to explain.
Meandbaby,
I also bought old books that I read when I was younger. One of them is Sungai Mengalie Lesu by Pak Samad.
Carneyz,
Thanks for subscribing to my blog:-)
Btw,I am no expert in religous matter-just an older student compared to younger persons. What I learnt and I understood, I posted here so that it could be shared by others who did not the opportunity or have the time to attend Kuliyyah agama.
On fictions, I shared your views but I prefer legal and thrillers novels.

Pak Adib,
I've read Orhan Pamuk's My Name Is Red. I like the way the stories were told, by different narrators.
Yet to find the other book. The title sounds like a book for children..

Jiwarasa,
Tha other book is not for children but about children trying to understand poems and about writing..

Assalamualaikum (not sure how do I address you)
Interesting blog contents. Just spent some time reading your blog. Actually I am not into blog (not yet) although my wife does. But I realised it can be very interesting indeed. I wish I could spent more time indulging in it. By the way, it was after sahur and subuh just now that I have a bit of time before going off to work in a short while. Will come back again, insya'allah.
