Reminders for Ulul Albab

One of the reasons I write a short tazkirah every Friday is to remind myself and anyone who reads my blog.All of us needs to be reminded because the nature of our qalb is to forget and it  fluctuates with space and time.IMHO,our five times daily solat is also a reminder by itself of our roles and responsibilities as a servant of Allah swt.

Two weeks ago I came across a book entitled Reminders for Ulul Albab.

Who is Ulul Albab?
Below is the ayat that answers who are the Ulul Albab:

39:18

Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom God has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding.

الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ

Let's pray and seek Allah's Rahmah that we are included in the group mentioned above.

38:29

(Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition.

كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ

Three years ago,I read another book by the same author when I was in Madinah.It is entitled Speeches for the Enquiring Minds.May I invite you to read these books to improve our understanding of our religion,insyaAllah.
